David Bluhm’s master’s degrees in international relations have served him well, spending two years in Caracas and two years in London with Bank of America and its investment banking joint venture, negotiating large syndication loans for borrowers in Spain, Portugal and 10 countries in Latin America. He spent eight plus years at Baker & McKenzie, handling matters that 95% of the time had some international component. David’s experience at Harris Corporation brought him into direct negotiations on extensive overseas transactions, logging more than 30 trips out of the country in one 36-month period. He has negotiated transactions on location in over 15 different countries, including joint ventures in China, technology transfers in India, investments in Brazil and Chile and varied projects and dispute resolutions in Colombia, Mexico and other countries.
Since 2010 David has been on the Advisory Council for the LLM program at the Fletcher School, Tufts University, the only accredited LLM program in the world not affiliated with a law school. The program awards a Master of Laws in International Law. http://www.fletcher.tufts.edu/LLM/Advisory-Council.
